Packing is usually the part of a move people put off the longest, and it is also the part that slows a move day down the most when it is not done. Our crew can pack a full house the day before, the morning of, or handle just the rooms you do not want to touch.

Full pack versus partial pack

A full pack means we box everything, kitchen to closets to the garage, usually over one or two days depending on the size of the place. A partial pack is more common, where you have already handled clothes and books and want us to take the kitchen, the garage, or anything fragile.

We ask upfront which rooms you want packed so the crew size and the day match what is actually needed, rather than sending too many people for a small job or too few for a full house.

Fragile and awkward items

Dishes, glassware, and framed art get individually wrapped and boxed with the right amount of padding, not just paper stuffed around the edges. Lamps, mirrors, and anything with glass get their own boxes rather than mixed in with heavier items.

Electronics like TVs and monitors travel best in their original boxes when we still have them, and in a padded flat box when we do not. We label every box by room and by contents so unpacking at the new place goes faster.

Kitchens and garages

Kitchens take longer to pack than most rooms because of the mix of fragile items, odd shapes, and things people use right up until moving day. We usually leave the kitchen for last on a multi-day pack so daily life is not disrupted more than it needs to be.

Garages tend to hold the widest mix of items, tools, sports equipment, holiday decorations, and boxes that have not been opened since the last move. We sort as we pack rather than box everything together, so unpacking at the new place is not just moving the same disorganized pile.

Packing materials we use

We bring our own boxes in a range of sizes, along with packing paper, bubble wrap for fragile pieces, and wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. Using the right size box for the weight of what is inside matters more than people expect, an overpacked heavy box is one of the more common ways a bottom gives out mid-carry.

Any boxes or materials left over after the pack stay with you in case you need them again, rather than getting hauled away.
